BREATHWORK SAFETY + FAQ

Clear breathwork. Clear boundaries.

State Training centers structured, intentional breathwork. Safety is part of the modality: screening, breathing pattern, intensity, consent, privacy, and referral decisions begin before a session and continue throughout it.

SCOPE

State Training is educational and facilitative. It is not psychotherapy, diagnosis, medical treatment, crisis care, trauma treatment, or a guarantee of personal, health, academic, athletic, relationship, business, or financial outcomes.

01

Screening and medical review

Relevant health context is discussed before participation. Some breath patterns can produce dizziness, tingling, altered sensation, anxiety, or fainting. A proposed practice may require modification, postponement, or review with a qualified clinician when relevant health or medication context is present.

This list is not a diagnosis or a substitute for individualized medical advice. When uncertain, obtain medical clearance before participating.

02

Informed choice throughout

A participant may observe, modify, pause, or stop. Consent to one breathing practice is not consent to every breathing practice. Discomfort is information; it is not proof that pushing through is valuable.

03

Situational safety

Intense or hyperventilation-style breathing is never paired with driving, water immersion, standing, heights, machinery, or any environment where dizziness or loss of consciousness could cause harm. Cold exposure is not part of youth work.

04

Referral beyond scope

State Training may pause, decline, or refer when the request or emerging need belongs with a licensed medical, mental-health, crisis, safeguarding, or other specialized professional.

05

Privacy and organizational boundaries

Only information needed to begin and deliver the work is collected. Personal stories are not published without clear permission. Organizational buyers do not automatically receive individual disclosures. Legal or immediate-safety duties may create exceptions that are explained when relevant.

06

Youth safeguards

Youth delivery requires applicable guardian permission, host authorization, student assent, safeguarding, insurance, background-check, and reporting requirements. Breathwork is low-intensity and excludes forced disclosure, trauma processing, intense hyperventilation-style breathing, prolonged retention, and cold exposure.

07

Sound and hearing choice

Practice audio begins only after you start a session. Keep the volume comfortable, mute the tone or remove headphones if sound feels uncomfortable, and do not use headphones where reduced situational awareness could create risk. The breathing practice remains available without sound.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Direct answers.

What is State Training?

State Training LLC is a breathwork company. Our mission is to create the opportunity to become aware of the possibility in what is perceived as impossible. We use structured, intentional breathing practices to help people shift internal state and practice greater access to focus, presence, emotional regulation, flow readiness, recovery, and peak performance.

Is State Training therapy?

No. State Training breathwork is educational and facilitative. It does not provide psychotherapy, diagnosis, medical treatment, crisis care, or trauma treatment.

Do I have to do intense breathwork?

No. Breathing patterns and intensity are selected for context and fit, and intensity is never the goal. You may choose a low-intensity practice, observe, modify, pause, or stop.

Will it make me calm?

Not necessarily. Calm is not the universal target. The useful state depends on the demand, and no particular experience or outcome is promised.

Can flow be guaranteed?

No. Breathwork may support aspects of flow readiness, but it cannot produce flow on demand. Flow cannot be forced, promised, or sustained permanently.

Do the practices include binaural beats or frequency-based sound?

Yes. Every self-guided practice includes an optional, user-controlled stereo tone with clearly labeled left and right frequencies, plus a rising cue for each inhale and a falling cue for each exhale. With headphones, the difference between the stereo channels creates a binaural beat. Sound supports pacing and attention; it is not medical treatment or a claim that a frequency produces a guaranteed state. You may mute it and continue with breathwork alone.

What if the work is not a fit?

Jason will say so and, where useful and appropriate, encourage a licensed, medical, crisis, or specialized source of support.

What does booking commit me to?

Booking reserves the selected appointment time. The complimentary starting session is available once per person, and paid sessions are confirmed after payment. Scope, screening, format, and practical details are still confirmed before participation. An organization or school booking reserves a planning session, not a full program.
